Do you want a scientific factual insight into your health problems? I have access to a lab offering a range of blood, urine and saliva laboratory tests to find the answers to health problems.  (Find out more 07767260374  sam@whatseatingyou.co.uk )

The most common ones are:

Adrenal Stress Test – this is a one day saliva test which measures your levels of Cortisol. It is brilliant for showing exhausted people what their cortisol levels are like with a view to having less demands on the body, as well as treating with food, supplements and relaxation techniques

Thyroid test – there are 2 mains ones I use.

A comprehensive blood test that looks not just at TSH levels (as tested by GP) but the levels of individual hormones T4 and T3, as well as thyroid antibodies and Reverse T3.

In addition for an easier home test there is a urine test which measures output levels of T3 and T4 from the cells.

Stool tests – the stool tests offered by the GP will not show the levels of good bacteria, and a wide range of parasites and pathogens. There are a range of stool tests at my disposable from a comprehensive one that looks at stomach acid, inflammation and bacterias, to a more simple one looking at yeasts, good and bad flora, yeasts and parasites. This shows what needs to be added and what needs to be removed. And don’t worry – I don’t get to see your poo!!

Food Intolerance Tests – identifying which foods you may be intolerant to

Hormone profile – measures levels of Oestrogen, Progesterone and Testosterone – not just on one day (as at GP) but over the whole month. This identifies levels of good and bad oestrogens. There is a complete Male Hormone profile too looking at levels of Testosterone and oestrogen
