  1. Eating the wrong foods as a distraction or a comfort
  2. Grabbing food whilst doing something else e.g. working at desk or feeding the kids
  3. Not savouring and thinking about what you are eating, and at times not realising what you have eaten



  1. Sit down with knife and fork
  2. Have no distractions – computer, tablet or tv
  3. Chew slowly
  4. Move away from phones and interruptions
  5. Make children wait and come and sit at the table with some colouring books or finger food
  6. Don’t eat when stressed or upset or excited
