We are mammals and hard-wired to store calories (especially fat and sugar) for times of famine, except in modern Western world there is no famine. In fact we are overfed and overstimulated by Food Manufacturers using clever advertising and high availability of low nutrient high fat high sugar over-processed foods, that rarely satisfy us and don’t make us feel full.

Added to this we are stressed, tired and time poor so often lack capacity for planning, cooking from scratch and healthy choices.

This is where I come in. With 20 years of experience in personalised nutrition and well being, I have tools, meal plans, time savers, healthy short cuts and planning ideas to help you enjoy weight loss compassionately, without stress and put the enjoyment back into food and cooking.

Because we live in crazy times with too many demands on us, high societal expectations and long hours, many people are struggling with mental health and use food as an escape or crutch, or don’t have the capacity to do things differently.

Understanding these habits with compassion, and focussing on self care alternatives, can redress the balance so food is not the only focus for relieving stress.  Balancing blood sugar has a powerful and positive effect on mental health, easing willpower and increasing motivation so that we can make small slow changes together.
