Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) & Digestion
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) encompasses many different symptoms of a poorly gut including constipation; diarrhoea and loose stools; excessive burping, bloating, smelly wind and stomach cramps; acid reflux and heartburn.
I understand these symptoms very well as this is where I started my nutrition journey and overcame IBS through the right diet and supplements.
At What’s Eating You Nutrition I use a detailed case history to understand what specific problems you have and where the imbalance in the stomach and bowel may occur. People always assume that is food allergies or intolerances alone that cause bloating and IBS but often it the gut itself that has become imbalanced due to food, stress and lifestyle and medication.
Once that gut is supported, often more foods are tolerated and discomfort disappears. Specific foods are added and taken away to support gut rebalance and supplements used to support leaky gut, food intolerances and overgrowth of pathogens.
There are so many difference aspects to IBS and if necessary I can use laboratory stool testing to scientifically determine exactly what is going on with bloating, parasites, bacteria or candida.
