- Do I know what I what I’m eating tomorrow ? Do I have the right ingredients?
- Do I need to get anything out of the freezer?
- Do I need to prebake anything such as jacket / sweet potato; new potatoes or pasta
- Have I got standby lunches such as
- Tinned tuna and frozen sweetcorn
- Eggs
- Sachets of quinoa and frozen prawns
- Frozen mixed veg which I can add some mayo, pulses and seeds
- You can always pre- make lunch at breakfast time, or pre make dinner at lunchtime
- If I can’t be bothered to cook, I know I can have:
- Soup with pulses
- Omelette
- Salad
- Have I always got some food in the freezer from a batch cook?
- Have I got some frozen meat and frozen vegetables suitable to make a casserole or slow cooker (put this on first thing if the day is going to get hectic)
- Check Waitrose frozen veg, they have:
- Cooked and cut aubergine slices
- Cooked and cut butternut squash
- Chopped onions
- Variety of green veg and spinach
- Also frozen minced beef and free range frozen chicken breasts
